Trail Youth holds upcoming Comedy Fundraiser to help with coffee house remodel costs

Come out and enjoy a night of food, fun, and laughter all while supporting the Trail Youth. The local coffee shop/non-profit will be putting on a fundraiser, headlined by up-and-coming comedian Dustin Nickerson, on Wednesday July 18th from 5:30pm-8:00pm at Snoqualmie Valley Alliance in Fall City.

Last month, The Trail Youth Coffee House in North Bend was featured on Mike Rowe’s show, Returning the Favor, to highlight the important work the nonprofit does for struggling youth in the Snoqualmie Valley. As part of the show, the coffee house received an $80k remodel in just twelve days. Now, they’re trying to raise money for costs the show couldn’t cover.

The night begins at 5:30pm, with Itty Bitty Schnitty Food Truck & DELI and All City Ice Cream food trucks there for those who want to purchase dinner. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy your meal al fresco while listening to live music from Tai Shan from Save the Bees! There will also be a silent auction where you’ll find some one of a kind vacations and other experiences for sale.

The comedy show starts at 7:00pm. Dustin is a Seattle native now living down in Southern California. He’s been doing a standup tour with Tim Hawkins and is scheduled to appear on Comedy Central with Kevin Hart later this month. You may have seen him on Laughs on Fox, the PBS Comedy Hour, Hulu, or heard him on Sirius Radio XM’s Rooftop Comedy or The Darren Streblow Show.

According to Trail Youth, “Dustin describes himself as the worlds most average person but is far from it when on stage. He brings you into his life through his jokes about the struggles of parenting, marriage, and being generally annoyed by most people.”

At just 32 years old, Dustin has been married for 13 years and has three kids, making him a pretty unique voice in the comedy scene. Parents can also feel comfortable bringing their kids along for the night, as he’ll be putting on a kid friendly show.

The night should be a good time full of laughs, and all the proceeds go towards and organization created for helping improve the lives of struggling local kids.
