Three injured at Twin Falls State Park by falling tree, one critical

At approximately 11:30AM, August 27, 2017 Eastside Fire & Rescue said it was responding to Twin Falls State Park near North Bend for a report of multiple injured people after a fall.

Initial EF&R reports stated there were up to three injured people, with one critical injury. King County Search and Rescue (KCSR) also responded to help extract the injured [assumed] hikers.

One of the injured patients taken from the scene was an infant, according to Eastside Fire Twitter feed. The infant was taken to Harborview Medical Center via ambulance with unknown injuries. EF&R reported that the critically injured person would go by helicopter to Harborview.

According to Snoqualmie Fire Chief Mark Corriera, the incident may have been caused by a falling tree, with one person possibly going into a ravine. The King County Sheriff’s Office also confirmed that three people were hit by a falling tree.
