Successful Snoqualmie Valley Rotary Golf Tournament Results in Large Mt Si Food Bank Donation

Last Thursday, August 1, 2013, Heidi Dukich, Executive Director of the Mt. Si Food Bank in North Bend, WA, accepted a check for $5,000 courtesy of the Snoqualmie Valley Rotary.

The donation was made possible by the success of the 2013 Snoqualmie Valley Rotary Presidents Cup Golf Tournament held at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge on June 3, 2013.

Matt Campbell and his team from the Mount Si Golf course won the event and will have their names engraved on the inaugural Rotary Presidents Cup trophy.  The tournament also featured a hole in one on the 14th hold, which had never occurred in the history of TPC Snoqualmie Ridge.

$7,500 of golf tournament proceeds were also donated to Rotary First Harvest on July 25, 2013.  That donation will result in over 200,000lbs of healthy produce, fruits and vegetables for individuals and families at community food banks supported by local rotaries.

The $5,000 donation to the Mt. Si Food Bank was the result of efforts of many Snoqualmie Valley Rotarians, but especially Pete Bullard, Larry Fisher, Dan Marcinko, Heidi Dukich, Brad Toft, and Steve McCulley.
