Snoqualmie Valley Schools on two-hour late start, February 28th

After surprise, heavy snow Monday evening, the Snoqualmie Valley School District said schools will open late, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, with buses on snow (i.e. limited transportation) routes.

According to the announcement:

Schools Open Two Hours Late with Limited Transportation

Snoqualmie Valley schools will open TWO HOURS LATE today, Tuesday, February 28, due to winter road conditions. Limited Transportation to Areas A, B and C. No AM Preschool, No AM Encompass, or out-of-district transportation.

Most Snoqualmie Valley areas received about 2-4 inches of snow during the Monday evening surprise snow event. According to Weather Underground, snow in Snoqualmie should end on Tuesday around 10:30AM. Temperatures are expected to get above freezing later this morning.

About 565 North Bend PSE customers were also without power early Tuesday morning. PSE says power should be restored by 7AM.
