Road improvements coming to North Bend Way & Thrasher Ave, construction to impact area for 4 weeks

Via press release, the City of North Bend said on May 10th Fury Construction began work on road improvements at the intersection of SE North Bend Way and Thrasher Ave NE.  The privately funded work will help mitigate traffic impacts caused by two nearby, new residential developments.

Construction is expected to last approximately four weeks (weather permitting) and will consist of storm drainage improvements, pavement widening on the south side of North Bend Way, a new eastbound left-turn lane onto Thrasher, re-striping, and new intersection illumination for improved public safety.

The city said traffic control will be provided during construction, but occasional, intermittent lane closures are expected until the project is complete.

SE Cedar Falls Way is available as an alternative eastbound/westbound route to avoid the construction area.
