Police Blotter | Runaway out the window with a makeshift rope; Under 21 DUI, reckless driving; barking dog frustrations; known man with pellet gun

Here area a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie during the past two weeks:

DISTURBANCE | HEALY AVE, North Bend

On August 2nd around 7:15PM, a caller reported that her boyfriend had gotten into a loud argument with some guys in the parking lot over a playstation.

RUNAWAY |  Snoqualmie Ridge

On August 3rd around 2:30PM, a young girl decided she was done cleaning her playroom and wanted to go outside and play with her friend. She fashioned a rope out of her martial arts belts, climbed out her window, and went to her friend’s house. When her friend left to go swimming, instead of going home, she went to play at Azalea Park where she was found by an officer. She was returned home to her father.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | RIDGE ST & COTTONWOOD, Snoqualmie

On August 4th around 6:35PM, a caller reported seeing what looked like a possible explosive device left on the sidewalk. Officers investigated and discovered that it was fire crackers.

PANHANDLING | 745 SW MT SI BLVD; CHEVRON, North Bend

On August 5th around 3:30PM, a caller reported a panhandler who had been there before was back. Officers responded and trespassed the subject from the Chevron station for one year.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | FAIRWAY AVE SE, Snoqualmie

On August 5th around 9:40PM, a caller reported that her neighbors were smoking marijuana outside. She said she heard a glass break as well, and thought they threw something into the road. There was no debris found in the roadway.

DISPUTE | SE SPRUCE ST, Snoqualmie

On August 6th around 6:50PM, a caller reported that one of her neighbors came over and was verbally aggressive with her, upset about the caller’s barking dog. The subject threatened to shoot the dog if the issue continued.

ANIMAL PROBLEM | SAFEWAY, Snoqualmie

On August 7th around 6:00PM, a caller reported a dog had been left in a hot car in the parking lot. Officers responded and talked to the owner, who it turns out had only gotten there a few minutes ago and was planning to leave in less than five minutes. The window was left cracked and the dog was not in distress.

DUI/PHYSICAL CONTROL | CENTER BLVD SE, Snoqualmie

On August 7th around 11:30PM, a caller reported that a drunk man was attempting to drive himself home. Officers responded and discovered that the man had not gotten behind the wheel yet. They warned him not to drive.

ACCIDENT/NON-INJURY | THREE FORKS DOG PARK, Snoqualmie

On August 8th around 7:20PM, multiple callers reported a car accident in front of the dog park. There were multiple people in each vehicle but there were only minor injuries. One of the drivers was under 21 and charged with a DUI and reckless driving.

ANIMAL PROBLEM | MT SI QUARRY, Snoqualmie

On August 8th around 7:35PM, a caller reported that there was a young elk stuck under an old train and that it appeared to be bleeding. Officers and citizens were able to free the elk, which was eventually able to walk away.

FRAUD | BARTELLS, North Bend

On August 12th around 8:30AM, a caller reported that a known subject had tried to pass two fake bills at the store ($10 and $2 bills).

WEAPONS OFFENSE | TRUCK TOWN, North Bend

On August 12th around 4:15PM, a caller reported a man with a rifle hanging out near the Gull Gas Station. Officers responded and temporarily detained the known subject before eventually releasing him and taking what turned out to be a pellet rifle in as evidence.
