POLICE BLOTTER | Post Office Box Break-ins, Donuts in the Cul-de-sac, Break-in to get out of the Rain

DISTURBANCE | NORTH BEND PRO SKI STORE

December 27, 2014; Reported at 9:05M

A store employee reported that someone was in the apartment above the store throwing things around. The person in apartment claimed to be the landlord, but the employee did not think that was true.  Police responded and took into custody a subject who had broken the lock and entered the upstairs store room trying to get out of the rain.  The subject was read Miranda rights and booked into King County Jail.


RECKLESS DRIVING | OGLE PL NE, North Bend

December 27, 2014; Reported at 10:48PM

A caller reported that a black BMW was doing donuts in the cul-de-sac. The caller said the vehicle left the area but this is occurring each night.  Police responded, located the registered owner’s address and spoke to the driver who admitted to driving too fast in the neighborhood.  The driver stated he was not the one doing it nightly, though. Police verbally counseled the driver and advised him not to drive that way in the future.


THEFT REPORT |  NORTH BEND POST OFFICE

December 30, 2014; Reported at 1:52PM

It was reported that an unknown suspect entered the North Bend Post Office and broke into several PO Boxes over the past week.  The caller did not know the timeframe of the break-in. Another caller also reported the same break-ins.


POSSESSION/DISCHARGE FIREWORKS | SNOWBERRY AVE SE, Snoqualmie

December 31, 2014; Reported at 8:17PM

A caller reported that adults and juveniles were lighting off fireworks. The caller wanted police to advise the subjects of the correct time they could discharge the fireworks – between 10PM and 12:30AM.  Police responded, but saw nor heard any fireworks and no one was outside in the area.

** Police only had 3 fireworks calls in all of Snoqualmie on New Years Eve, in each case they were unable to locate the persons discharging them **


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | FRANKIES PIZZA, North Bend

December 31, 2014; Reported at 9:46PM

A employee reported that an unwanted and intoxicated male was outside the business.  The caller said he asked the man to leave, which caused him to start yelling.  The employee locked the business doors for safety.  A second caller then reported a male sitting outside, harassing people for cigarettes and a ride.

Police responded and took the man into custody for disorderly conduct. Due to the man’s level of intoxication and aggitation, he was transported to the King County Jail.


THEFT REPORT | NORTH BEND QFC

January 2, 2014; Reported at 9:33PM

An employee reported that two males had shoplifted items and were last seen heading westbound on North Bend Way. Police responded and made an arrest of known subject by citation.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | 13TH PL SW, North Bend 

January 2, 2015; Reported at 11:39AM

A caller reported that the previous night a stranger came to their door and was advised he had the wrong address. The caller stated the man looked suspicious and tried to look into the home. He was driving a vehicle described as white and beat up and occupied by others.

Police advised the caller to contact the police right after these types of incidents occur.


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | VANITY FAIR STORE, North Bend Outlet Mall

January 2, 2015; Reported at 2:49PM

An employee reported a suspicious, possible theft by a woman still in the store.  The caller said the woman went into the fitting room with  7 items and came out with 6 items and believes the subject could have items also inside her purse.  The store manager also witnessed the subject possibly shoplifting.  Police responded and took the woman into custody, advised of Miranda rights and booked for shoplifting.


MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT | SE 10TH CIRCLE, North Bend

January 2, 2014; Reported at 4:27PM

A caller reported that vandalism occurred to his car on New Years Eve. The vehicle’s door and side panel were keyed.  Police responded and the caller was provided with a case number.  There were no suspects for the vandalism that happened sometime between December 30 – 31st.
