Police Blotter | doorbell ringing, door pounding, then arrested; multiple DUI stops; using the not-opened skatepark

Here are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie over the past two weeks:

JUVENILE PROBLEM | SE RIDGE STREET, Snoqualmie

On October 19th around 6:20PM, a caller reported some teenagers with skateboards in the not-yet-open skate park. They had left by the time officers arrived.

TRESPASSING IN-PROGRESS | SE KINSEY ST, Snoqualmie

On October 21st around 10:55PM, a caller reported an unknown person ringing their doorbell repeatedly, pounding on the door, and trying to get into the house. The subject was detained by police. He refused to take a blood alcohol test and didn’t want to talk to the officers. The subject was read his Miranda Rights and then booked into King County Jail for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.

DUI/PHYSICAL CONTROL | E PARK ST & HEALY AVE S, North Bend

On October 21st around 2:55PM, a caller reported a suspected drunk driver who almost crashed into two vehicles and then nearly hit a pedestrian. The driver pulled up on the sidewalk and then got out of his truck. The reporting person talked to the subject and told officers that his eyes were bloodshot and he looked completely out of it. Officers got a positive confirmation on the suspect and monitored the truck to see if he would return.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | DOUGLAS AVE SE, Snoqualmie

On October 23rd around 1:00AM, a caller reported that a man was trying to force open the front door of his home, before eventually leaving. Both the reporting person and his wife believed that the man had been drinking and possibly confused their house for his own. The callers said they didn’t want to press charges because no damage was done and the man left.

TRAFFIC STOP | W NORTH BEND WAY & NW 8TH ST, North Bend

On October 24th around 9:15PM, a traffic stop revealed a driver with a blood alcohol level of .168. The subject was booked into Issaquah County Jail on a DUI.

THEFT IN-PROGRESS | SAFEWAY, North Bend

On October 24th around 10:25PM, Snoqualmie police officers pursued a man and woman suspected of shoplifting. Officers approached them and got permission to search the car, where the stolen merchandise was found. The man was also discovered to be driving while intoxicated. Both suspects were trespassed from Safeway for life, upon request from the store, and then booked into Issaquah County Jail.

DISPUTE | ACE HARDWARE, North Bend

On October 25th around 4:30PM, a caller reported that a customer was attempting to shoplift. When confronted, the subject refused to pay for the items he took and got very agitated. He left and walked towards Bartells with the items he’d stolen. The store wanted to press charges and have the man trespassed, but police were unable to locate him as he’d already left the Bartells area by the time they arrived.
