Police Blotter | Big Foil Ball possibly Explosive; Fight Club Runs, Hides; It’s his Car, too; Fence Hit and Run

blotter logoHere are a few of the calls the Snoqualmie Police Department responded to in North Bend and Snoqualmie during the final days of January.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES |  Chevron Station, North Bend

On January 23rd around 9:30PM a caller reported an intoxicated man outside of the gas station harassing customers. An officer responded and learned the drunk man also made threats against a woman in a vehicle, saying he would smack her in the head.  He was taken into custody and booked into jail.


ASSAULT IN-PROGRESS |  E 6th ST, North Bend

On January 24th around midnight a caller reported men were fighting in the street. An officer responded. All parties ran away when the officer arrived. One group ran into a home, closed doors, turned off lights and would not answer. The caller told the officer that “the fight was not between anyone that would be considered in a domestic relationship.”


CITIZEN ASSIST |  FALLS AVE, Snoqualmie

On January 25th at 4PM a woman called and requested officers assistance in taking a vehicle from a man who was refusing to give it back to her. After further investigation, the officer discovered the man in possession of the vehicle was also its legal owners.  The woman was then advised that the situation was a civil issue, not a police matter.


MALICIOUS MISCHIEF REPORT |  384th AVE SE, Snoqualmie

On January 25th around 8:45PM a caller reported that unknown suspects had collided and gone through his fence -and then fled the area in an unknown direction. Damage to the fence was estimated at $500.  The caller requested the incident be documented.


THEFT REPORT |  E PARK ST, North Bend

On January 26th at 12:30PM a caller reported that overnight someone had stolen various gardening items from their residence – taking pavers and a planter.


NOISE COMPLAINT |  CEDAR AVE, North Bend

On January 28th at 3:15AM a caller reported subjects were outside their residence singing and partying. A officer responded and “spoke with singers, who advised that they would keep the noise down.”


SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES | MT SI BLVD FUEL PUMPS, North Bend

On January 28th at 3:45PM a caller reported that a white van occupied by a female driver and two male passengers left a large tin foil ball – about 2 feet around – near the fuel pumps.  The caller didn’t want to touch it – was worried it might be explosive.

An officer responded and checked the large foil sphere with the assistance of the King County Sheriff’s Office. The foil ball was determined to be hollow and was disposed of by the station attendant.


VEHICLE PROWL REPORT | TWEDE’S CAFE, North Bend

On  January 28th around 7:30PM a caller reported that a couple of hours earlier, while she was eating at Twede’s, the front passenger window of her vehicle had been broken.  She called to report possible suspect information – saying she had gotten into a verbal disagreement with a restaurant patron due to her “parking sideways in the stall.”  She wasn’t sure if this incident was related to her broken window, but wanted the police department to know the person she argued with was a white male, wearing a red hat and driving a green Subaru Outback.
