North Bend Rallies Community Support in Celebrating Twin Peaks season 3 premiere

Locals and tourist alike are counting down the days until the new season of Twin Peaks finally premieres on TV… and North Bend is throwing a special party.

It’s a place both wonderful and strange. Arguably, no other show better captures the essence and uniqueness of its filming locations as Twin Peaks.

This is why the City of North Bend, The Downtown North Bend Foundation, and several other community businesses including; Compass Outdoor Adventures, The Snoqualmie Brewery, and local Twin Peaks fans groups are partnering to celebrate the release of the new season which will air on Showtime on Sunday May 21st.

The May 21st event will include guided tours of local filming locations and will culminate in the evening at a viewing party at the Compass Outdoor Adventure building in Downtown North Bend,  a little known but important filming location from the original series that also served as David Lynch and Mark Frost’s offices during filming of the pilot in the late 80’s.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up in Twin Peaks themed attire and costumes.

The event will feature all of the Twin Peaks food staples including cherry pie, donuts, David Lynch Coffee,  and of course the Ghostwood Kolsch from Snoqualmie Falls Brewery, a Twin Peaks themed beer.  A Twin Peaks themed food truck, Wicked Pies will also be on location.

Even before the excitement surrounding the new Twin Peaks series on Showtime began, the North Bend Visitor Information Center cited Twin Peaks related questions as one of the top five most popular inquires. They expect foot traffic through the visitor center and the town to increase dramatically. The North Bend Visitor Information Center is an officially licensed retailer of Twin Peaks merchandise and also features locally crafted Twin Peaks fan art.

Ticket prices are $40 for a two-hour guided tour, $20 for the viewing party and $85 for the all-inclusive VIP Twin Peaks experience.
