April 1st kicked of the 2018 Northwest Railway Museum season, but organizers know not everyone who loves history – including local railway history – has time to take a weekend historic train ride.
So there’s an alternative.
Love old trains, but don’t have time to do a full train excursion? You can also check out the historic trains in the Northwest Railway Museum’s Train Shed Exhibit Building this season. The train shed is located at 9320 Stone Quarry Road near the Mount Si High School Freshman campus.
From April through October, the Train Shed is open for drive up visits Thursdays – Sundays, 11am – 4pm!
Learn how the railroads changed everything in the Pacific Northwest at your own pace as you explore exhibits and rolling stock in this incredible 25,000 sq. ft. building that includes large and small artifacts including the award-winning Wellington Remembered exhibit.
Attendees can explore the exhibits that include freight and passenger cars, maintenance of way equipment, Chapel Car 5 Messenger of Peace, as well as large artifacts with local ties.
On weekends, you can choose to visit this invaluable collection of Northwest railroad history by walk up visit or take one of the Museum’s train excursions which include a stop at the Train Shed!
Admission: $10/person (ages 2 & older), under 2 = no cost.
Times: Thursday – Sunday, 11AM- 4PM. Includes: Memorial Day Monday & Labor Day Monday.
