Lady Wildcats Play for KingCo Basketball Championship Today – Boys Playing For District 3/4 Seed

MSHS Lady Wildcats basketball play Liberty High School for the KingCo title tonight, February 10th.  Tip-off is at 8:15PM at Bellevue College.  The MSHS boys team plays Lake Washington High School at 3PM for the KingCo 3/4 seeds.  The location is also Bellevue College.  Both teams will advance to the district tournament which kicks off this Saturday, February 12th.

The Lady Wildcats defeated Mercer Island, 61-49, Tuesday night to advance to tonight’s championship game.  They are now within two victories of the state tournament – something that hasn’t happened in 15 years.  The girls face Liberty High School who upset #1 Juanita to advance to the championship game.  A win tonight earns the girls a 1st round district tournament bye and one district win to advance to the State Tournament.  A loss tonight means a home game this Saturday and two wins to advance to state.

After a tough 55-46 loss to Mercer Island on Tuesday, the MSHS boys face Lake Washington High School for the #3 KingCo seed.  They went 2-0 against Lake Washington during the regular season.  A win means the MSHS boys would host Metro League’s #6 seed for Saturday’s district tournament game.   A loss means playing Metro’s #4 seed as the away team.  Saturday’s game time is still to be determined.

Both MSHS basketball games are today, February 10th,  at Bellevue College!  Boys tip off at 3PM and the girls play at 8:15PM.  Bellevue College is located at 3000 Landerholm Circle SE, Bellevue WA.  For directions visit http://bellevuecollege.edu/about/around/directions/.
