City Hires New Events Coordinator, Police Officer, and Project Engineer

The City of Snoqualmie announced on Friday that it had hired three new employees, filling roles in events coordination, law enforcement, and project engineering.

Via press release the city provided information about the new employees:

The event coordinator position, previously a contract position, was filled by Nicole Wiebe who most recently worked for 11 years in the City of Redmond’s Parks and Recreation Department and also has experience working in economic development and transportation demand management. She has a background in event planning, tourism, and community and business outreach. Wiebe, who grew up in Bellevue, is an active school and community volunteer.

Officer Jayce Gutzler joins the Snoqualmie Police Department with 11 years of law enforcement experience from the cities of Lynnwood and Kirkland. During his time with the Kirkland Police Department, he served five years as an operator on the North Sound Metro SWAT. He also worked for over two years as an undercover narcotics detective with the Eastside Narcotic Task Force.  Officer Gutzler spends his free time with family and out on the golf course.

Project Engineer Kim D. Scattarella brings more than 12 years of experience in design review and project engineering and management. He previously worked for the City of Maple Valley as a capital projects manager and the City of Tacoma as a project manager and project engineer. In addition, he was a project manager for capital improvement projects with the City of Sumner. Scattarella also serves as a volunteer TechTutor for the King County Library System.
