Downtown Snoqualmie ‘Remodeling’ Work Continues; Expect some Delays, Parking Changes

Get ready for another summer of construction in downtown Snoqualmie as the city continues work to keep sprucing up the historic area.  No parking signs are up, as well as electronic signs warning drivers to expect delays due to road work.

Phase 2 of the Town Center Infrastructure Improvement Project is now underway. Infrastructure and road improvement work will occur on Railroad Ave SE (SR 202) between SE River St and SE Northern St through historic Snoqualmie.

Downtown businesses will remain open and fully accessible throughout the project, with parking in designated areas. There will be no road closures, although occasionally the two-lane road will be reduced a single lane with traffic management maintaining a consistent flow.

New features and/or improvements in the downtown core include:

  • new water main, water services, sanitary sewer system and storm drainage system
  • road paving
  • channelization
  • illumination system
  • new curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb bulbs, street furniture, signage, and gateway treatments
  • installation of a boardwalk
  • landscaping and irrigation
  • moving power, cable, and phone lines underground
  • property restoration
  • preservation of legacy trees
