Car Prowls happening in Snoqualmie; Police remind residents to keep vehicles locked

The City of Snoqualmie is warning residents to keep their car doors locked as there have been recent vehicle prowls in both the downtown and Snoqualmie Ridge neighborhoods.

The Snoqualmie Police Department recommends the following safety guidelines so you don’t become a car prowl victim:

  • Secure all doors and windows whether parked in the driveway or on the street.
  • Remove all items of value from your car, including GPS, wallets, cell phones, lap tops, cameras, briefcases, etc.
  • Always close your garage door and lock any entrances.
  • Do not leave personal identification documents in your vehicle such as your vehicle title, bank statements, social security cards, or pay stubs.
  • Report all acts of crime even if nothing is taken.

To report car prowls or suspicious behavior, please call the Snoqualmie Police Department. During business hours, call 425-888-3333. After business hours, please call 911 to be connected with a Snoqualmie police officer.

  • Turn on your outside lights. It never ceases to amaze me as to how many blocks are only lit by streetlights as homeowners choose not to turn on their outside lights. Crime does happen in Stepford Ridge, it really does!
