Car crosses center line, causes serious multi-vehicle accident near Tiger Mountain Summit

A serious multi-vehicle collision  temporarily closed all lanes of SR 18 near the Tiger Mountain summit Tuesday afternoon, May 15, 2018.

The collision occurred around noon and involved five vehicles according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson.

Johnson said via social media that a driver traveling on westbound SR 18 crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck, causing it to roll on its side. Two other cars and a semi were also involved.

Luckily, Trooper Johnson reported there were no serious injuries. A passenger in the pickup truck and the driver who caused the accident were transported to the hospital.  No information was provided as to what may have caused the driver to cross the centerline.

Tow trucks arrived on the scene around 12:45PM. WSDOT reported that all lanes – except the right eastbound lane – were reopened shortly after 1PM.

Emergency crews from Eastside Fire & Rescue, Bellevue, Fall City and Snoqualmie Fire Departments all responded to the accident.
