Calling all Young Artists: ‘Be The Change’ Poster Design Challenge is ON

Middle and high school students are invited to use their artistic talents to create a poster design for the 11th annual Be The Change event for middle school students held at Chief Kanim Middle School on Saturday, March 17th. A poster committee of Valley teens will choose the winning deign and the winner will be awarded a $75 cash prize.

Snoqualmie Valley Community Network sponsors the annual Be The Change event designed for for middle school aged students living in Snoqualmie Valley and beyond. The day is typically filled with opportunities for teens to identify their strengths, time to share the opportunities and challenges of teenage life, lots of team-building games, free breakfast and lunch, and the chance to participate in several youth-picked/youth facilitated breakout sessions!

Who can participate in Design Challenge: Middle and High School Students
Deadline: Monday, February 5, 2018
Poster Guidelines: Artwork:

  • Must be 8 inches wide by 7.5 inches high
  • Can be drawn or drawn with digital graphic tools
  • Must be authored solely by the contestant
  • The title: “Be The Change” needs to be prominently displayed
  • Artwork that captures the theme of “be the change” will be preferred

Submission: Submit a digital copy of the work to postercontest@hotmail.com. Hand drawn or painted pieces can be scanned or photographed.

Selection: The winner will be contacted by February 12th .

The Snoqualmie Valley Community Network works to inspire youth in grades 4-12 to be safe, healthy, and successful. Healthy youth and families are the priority for the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network, and youth suicide and substance use prevention are two of their highest priorities.
