Cascade Covenant Church is partnering with In the Field Ministries, operated by long-time Snoqualmie Valley community members, John and Kimberly Calhoun, to send an 8-member mission team to Uganda this March 19th – April 4th.
The team will spend two weeks in Uganda supporting a variety of medical, educational and constructions projects underway in the rural village of Nabisooto, as well as spending time building relationships with school children and their families in this remote part of the world.
Opportunities like this one take a lot of planning – and fundraising effort. So Saturday, January 31, 2015, the Cascade Covenant team invites the community to support their cause by stopping by Saturday’s Garage Sale Fundraiser 8am-2pm at 8903 384th Avenue SE in Snoqualmie.
The event is a mega-sale with contributions from many area families – so organizers say there is something for the deal shopper in everyone.
The team is also holding a “Clothes for a Cause” textile drive at the garage sale site, so community members with old clothes, sheets, blankets, towels, shoes, stuffed animals, etc can drop them off as donations.
