Interested in Scouting? Boy Scout Troop 115 Hosts Open House

Do you have a son interested scouting…. want to learn a little bit more?

If so, Snoqualmie Boy Scout Troop 115 is hosting an open house Tuesday, February 9th, from 7PM  – 8:30PM, at the iYAC (old troop 115Snoqualmie Library) behind City Hall at 38579 SE River Street.

All boys 11 years or older, or currently in fifth grade, are invited to join Troop 115 Scouts and leaders for an evening of fun to learn more about scouting. No previous Scouting experience is required. Parents are invited as well to learn about Troop 115 and ask any questions they have about Boy Scouts.

Scouts will set up skill stations to introduce guests to some of the things they do, such as setting up a tent, cooking a camping meal, and wilderness survival training. Older scouts will be on hand to answer questions, and parents and leaders will host a chat for prospective parents.

Troop 115 was founded in 2010 and is part of the 115 family which includes Cub Scout Pack 115 (boys ages 7-11) and Venturing Crew 115 (coed ages 14-21). Our goal is to help your son learn outdoor skills, life skills, leadership, emergency preparedness and much more while having fun! All events are boy-lead and well supervised by trained adult volunteer leaders.

Where else will your son be able to enjoy:

  • Summer camp in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
  • Backpacking in the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges.
  • A variety of new activities and experiences.
  • Regular patrol meetings where he can make friends, learn new skills, and work on projects as part of a multipage team.

Reservations are requested, but drop-in guests will also be welcome. See how much you and your son have to gain in this all-volunteer organization.

Email Christa Ostrem with questions or to let the group know you will be attending at scouttroop115@gmail.com.
