Snoqualmie Valley Alive with Holiday Festivities this Weekend: Tree Lightings, Concerts, Markets

Have you found your holiday spirit yet?

If not, we’ve got plenty of festivities around the Snoqualmie Valley that may just help spark that spirit this weekend. In addition to the multiple events in North Bend this weekend detailed in our earlier story, Fall City and Snoqualmie have some holiday happenings, too, including concerts, tree lights and holiday markets to help with your local shopping needs.

Winter Bazaar to Benefit Elementary Students

On December 4th from  5PM -8PM,  Snoqualmie Elementary School will be transformed into a winter wonderland! At the annual Winter Bazaar, parents can shop at local vendors while kids enjoy free arts and crafts.

You can bid on “ready to give” gift baskets, support a bake sale and create fun memories in the photo booth. Proceeds will benefit the PTSA. For admission, please bring two non-perishable food items per person. Items will be donated to the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank

Fall City Holiday Market, Tree Lighting

Fall City has some holiday happenings this weekend, featuring a Holiday Market on Saturday, December 5th from 10AM-3PM at Chief Kanim Middle School.

Organizers say the 16th annual Holiday Market will offer many handmade items for sale from local crafters and artists throughout the community, with a unique vintage items and gifts for people on your holiday shopping list.  Pick up fresh wreaths, swags and live poinsettias for your holiday decorating.

The Fall City Historical table has great gift ideas.  You’ll find the 2016 Fall City Calendar in full color, beautiful holiday cards featuring Fall City scenes, Fall City magnets, and a selection of collector’s beverage glasses and mugs.  They will also have the Memory Book “Preserving the Stories of Fall City” and “Jack’s History of Fall City.”

Enjoy lunch with Chef Eric of EJ’s Catering, who will be serving high quality food dishes featuring organic ingredients – including hot sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts.

The Cub Scouts will be back with their Bake Sale.  Bring your friends and enjoy a cup of coffee and enter to win one of many unique raffle prizes.

The Holiday Market will be followed by Fall City Days Annual School  Music Program & Tree Lighting Festival from 4PM  – 5PM at the Fall City Elementary School Gymnasium,

Salish Tree Lighting 

On December 5th at 4:30PM the community is invited to the Salish Lodge’s annual Tree Lighting, celebrated with a 20-foot tree, live entertainment, hot chocolate and cookies.  You can top the festivities off with a view of Snoqualmie Falls, too!

Snoqualmie United Methodist Church Holiday Bazaar

In addition to holiday bazaars/markets in Fall City and North Bend, this weekend, Snoqualmie is getting into the act, too. On Saturday, December 5th from 10AM – 3PM and Sunday, December 6th from 12PM – 2PM, Snoqualmie United Methodist Church (corner of River Street and Railroad Ave) will host a holiday bazaar featuring handmade crafts, baked goods, homemade candy, holiday decorations, gift items

The Coats, Special a cappella Holiday Concert

On Sunday, December 6 at 6PM at Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church,  The Coats will be performing a special holiday concert.

Organizers say the nationally touring artists are the Pacific Northwest’s premiere a cappella band, blending music and comedy to make for an exciting, interactive performance.

They’ve previously performed for MDA benefits, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, high schools, colleges, fairs, and community centers across the country, as well as the President of the United States. They’ve also shared the stage with dozens of acts as vastly different as Gallagher, The Beach Boys, Jay Leno, Trisha Yearwood, and Eddie Money.
